By combining the two terms "Swiss" and "Sustainable", Switzerland Tourism has coined the term "Swisstainable", underlining its ambitious vision and pioneering role in this area. The aim? To become the most sustainable destination in the world!
Swisstainable is a Swiss sustainability programme created by tourism for tourism. Participation in the sustainability programme is open to all tourism companies and organisations in Switzerland. To take into account different requirements and varying degrees of sustainable commitment, the programme is divided into three levels.
