Guests stay in a very special building with large windows through which you can marvel at the sky above.


The location is internationally known among astronomy associations for the optimal conditions it offers for stargazing. It lies on a high plateau at an altitude of 1,800m and offers a spectacular unique view of the Blenio Valley as well as the mighty peaks and surrounding glaciers.

Alternatively, you can stay in the dormitory of the hut.

Car: Take the mountain road between Olivone-Largario and Gorda. On foot or by mountain bike: There are numerous routes and paths leading from Lukmanier or the Nara area.

How to get there in winter
In winter, Gorda can be reached on foot or with snowshoes from Camperio (following the official route) or by the Gorda-Express winter transport service using a snowmobile pulling a special sled for transporting passengers. Maximum 6 people per trip.
